Notes: 8/20/2007: Sent Mike sympathy card on Connie's passing. 1/17/2001: News Flash ! I am hot on the trail of Lynda Hornstein ! I talked to alumni affairs at William & Mary and they have her in their records. The only catch is they will not give me any info. For her protection, they told me to send them a letter to her, care of Alumni affairs, and they would forward it. Then if she cares to contact me, she can. Naturally I had a note to her on the way within minutes and I'm hoping to get a call, e-mail, or letter from her within a couple weeks or so. I mentioned to her that I had been communicating with you and Terry and Eileen, and all the stuff that Greg Cunningham is working on, but I didn't tell her too much, so she would be anxious to learn more. I will keep you posted . Hope all is well with your Mom, and all your trips go well. Mike O 12/21/2000: Greg, Can't tell you how much fun it is getting updates on whom you have "found" each week. Talked to Julie Epps and Terry Emerson online, and called Liz Snider on the phone and got her up to date. Jack and Karen Mack attended our last (and only) reunion (was it 1985?). Seems Jack was a Professor of military science at the Citadel then, and Karen was married to some Marine at Camp Lejeune. I'm gonna try to track down Linda Hornstein ( I'm hoping someone in the alumni department at William @ Mary can give me a lead.) I was in touch with Connie Ross up until about a year or two ago, and now her address and phone number are no good. She was still working for Northwest Airlines, so maybe they can give me a lead. Incidently, my son David is a bellboy and concierge at the Great Divide Lodge in Breckenridge, CO and snowboarding every day. You might look him up if you ski the Rockies this winter. We are planning on talking this weekend and will try to firm up or attendance plans. John Hawkins called last week and told me about the special tour of the Marine Museum and that his Dad plans on attending with us-what an exciting opportunity for us all. I look forward to seeing you soon and many thanks for all your hard work again this year. 9/4/2001: I will never, ever be able to thank you enough for what you have done. I have just spent one of the most memorable weekends of my life and I owe it all to you. I have shared the last 2 1/2 days with Sandra (and her wonderful husband) and it was as though we had never been apart. We have laughed, cried and giggled our way through the last 35 years of yearbooks, letters, notes, pictures, journals, loves, loss and families and we have re-gained what we had thought was once only a memory of our childhood. At the risk of sounding extremely emotional/dramatic, I thank you for the wonderful new opportunities that you have revealed to me - it is amazing how one little phone call can completely turn one's life around and head it into a completely new and wondrous direction. Notes: 1/2/2001: Hello, Greg, I was planning to get back to you eventually, so I was pleased to see an upcoming reunion. Let me give you some info. I am many things - equestrian with 3 Arabian horses of my own, married with 2 sons, one 14 and the other 13 both in Nat'l Jr. Honor Society, etc., artist, worked for Federal Govennment for about 14 years, had worked in private industry for some years, then after 13 years of getting the boys a good start, my husband retired (for the 2nd time) and I went back to work as a medical transcriptionist. That was two years ago. My husband's name is Eugene Swartz, my boys are Benjamin (14 - 15 in March) and WIlliam (13 to be 14 in May). In addition to my horses, we have and elderly beagle that someone dumped three years ago and an Australian Terrier I adopted through the Australian Terrier Rescue Leage. There are multidinous cats and varying number of pigs. We live on 17+ acres in the community of Sumerduck, Virginia - about half-way between Fredericksburg and Warrenton.
